Download of the Day: Open Office 2 Released

Open Office, the open source competitor to Microsoft Office, released version 2.0 today. Open Office offers a multi-platform, multi-lingual office suite.

New features include the open standards XML file format (OASIS OpenDocument), an improved multi-pane user interface, enhanced PDF support (Adobe’s portable document format), digital signatures, floating toolbars and more. Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, Solaris, Free.
