Use Google Maps to Track Website Visitors

David Knowles writes in about the new GVisit site. GVisit allows you to geographically track the last 20 visitors to your site. Simply register your URL and paste the one-line JavaScript call into your main page. You’ll then be able to use a special GVisit URL to display a map showing where your most recent visitors were from. A few caveats:

  • Be aware that it may take a day or so for your map data to start working.
  • Sites with more than 5000 hits per day are not supported.
  • You can upgrade from 20 to 100 visitors (and remove all ads) by making a donation of any amount at the GVisit site
