Mint: Quick and Easy Web Site Stats

Having a good way to track your Web site traffic is a must for any Web publisher. There are many services and programs out there that let you do this, but, for me anyway, many of them either do to much or do too little.

That’s why I loved ShortStat and I’m loving it’s new, improved version—Mint.

Independently developed by Shaun Inman, Mint is a very nice, lightweight Web referrer stats application that can give you an excellent quick look at who is visiting your site and where they’re coming from. For many Web publishers this is the kind of stats application that’s just right.

It features an RSS feed for recent referrers, anti-referrer spam technology, an easy to read format and a cool (and useful) little dashboard widget to show you the latest highlights. It’s not free, and it’s installation is a bit complicated, but I’ve found it to be well worth it.
