How To Use Wikis For Business

Over at Information Week, there is a very nice overview/tutorial on the use of Wikis in business. Wikis can make for a good, inexpensive collaboration tool or content management replacement, and this article may help decide if a wiki is right for you.

"Content management systems will always have their place in the publishing world, but they’ve never been the best tools for business collaboration. A simple open-source app called the wiki may soon rule the knowledge management roost."

They do a good job introducing wikis, which can be a bit hard to get your mind around, and then go one to site some very good examples of when wikis work, and when they don’t. They also offer some good tool overviews and some planning resources to get your started if you’re interested in your own wiki for business.
