How easy is your writing to understand?

Dave Gray pointed out there is a feature in Microsoft Word which can calculate your document’s readability by using Flesch-Kincaid readability test. The test consists of two type of score: Reading ease and Grade level:

- In the tools menu, go to options
- Click the “Spelling and Grammar” tab
- Select “Show readability statistics”

The next time you do a grammar check, Word will show you how your document scored on readability according to the Flesch-Kincaid scale.
