Domain Hacks Search Tool
Ever wonder how del.icio.us and blo.gs came up with their tricky domain names? They use a “technique” called “domain hacking.” From Wikipedia:
"A domain hack is an unconventional domain name that uses parts other than the SLD (second level domain) or third level domain to create the full title of the domain name. Typical domain names follow the structure of “title.tld” or “title.sld.tld”, where “title” is the title of the domain name, and “tld” and “sld” are the top level domain and second level domain, respectively. A domain hack has various structures like “tit.le”, “ti.tle”, etc. The most popular domain hack is del.icio.us."
Still, even with that option it can be hard to find one that works. You’ve often got to be really creative and sometimes you need a little help.
Enter the domain hack search utility from Xona.com. This tool allows you to enter any regular word and it’ll search for a domain hacked version of it. It actually works pretty well. Time to get domain hack crazy.
