Pledge for Motivation

PledgeBank let’s you start a pledge by promising to do something, but only if a certain number of other people will do so as well. It helps solve the collective action problem with things where the action of one may not make much of a difference, but the collective action of many might. It can also help you get motivated to engage in certain actions.

People use the system for very different types of pledges. Many of them have to do with donations to charity, but others focus on political causes or health issues.

I posted a pledge last month asking that a dozen people join me in a revolution program. My pledge was met and now I have a dozen people from all over the world participating in the revolution with me and motivating me to achieve my goal of becomign an activist.
